Intern of Chaos | Part 2

Intern of Chaos | Part 2

I can’t believe my second month at Brand Yourself is finished, which means summer is almost over (sorry kiddos).

I don’t think I ever mentioned how I ended up at Brand Yourself in the first blog. Tami and I met through Sarah Carlsen of Carlsen Coaching and Consulting, one of our awesome neighbors in the office. Tami was looking for someone for Addison to hang out with and have an older influencer to look up too. We ended up seeing each other two days a week for most of the summer. Fast forward to this past March, Tami and I had sat down for coffee for an interview for Brand Yourself Empower Your Conversations Facebook group. We got to talking about my plans for the summer and at the time I really didn’t have any ideas what my plans were. So here I am nannying the Chief Troublemaker two times a week and working at BY as an intern twice a week as well.

This month has definitely been easier, I’m starting to understand the lingo more, and how to use all the different software and apps we use for social posts. This month I worked on

  • Canva, a website to create layout designs
  • Edited editorial calendars for the month of August
  • Wrote more blogs
  • Discovered new ways to use photoshop and different tools
  • How to use an iPhone stabilizer
  • Making sure to use portrait mode on my phone because the iPhone camera is a gift

I don’t think I’ve stressed enough how awesome this experience has been for me. I’ve learned a lot about how to help companies expand their social media game. I’ve also found out what I like doing best and avoiding what I dislike, for instance this blog. I’m writing this with only four more days at Brand Yourself, which to me is mind boggling. 100% not ready to leave something that feels like it just started nor am I ready for college, but hey I have to grow-up at some point. I’ll talk to all you readers again on my last day this summer!
