TIME is what I’m Most Thankful for this Year!

I try to be grateful all year – not just focus on it during the Thanksgiving Holiday. I feel one of my most important roles as a parent is to instill a sense of gratitude and thankfulness in my children.

How do we do that?!

We have made a thankful tree, we keep a gratitude journal and we have an open dialogue about why we don’t NEED a new house – we have a warm bed, food on our plates and are kept safe in the one we have. Of course, we are always going to want more, right? But let’s not let that shadow over what we already HAVE.

This year – I’m thankful for so much!! We have had a lot of blessings come our way in 2014!! A new baby (he’s already 10 months old!), our health, really – really fantastic friends and family!!

But, I think this year, what I am thankful for MOST is TIME. That’s what we all wish for more of at one point or another, right?! More time to enjoy loved ones we have lost (Joe – I miss you!). More TIME to get our work done. More TIME to spend with our little ones. More TIME with our significant others. This year, my list is long for things I am thankful for. Here are just a few:

I am thankful for:

  • The flexibility and TIME I have to spend with my family. I have 2 little ones at home (and a pretty great husband) that I like to hang out with on Fridays, during the weekends and even when they are sick and need a bit more snuggle time.
  • TIME to be creative. I love developing new strategy and ideas for both myself, and my clients.
  • Coffee (ok – the TIME to drink it). It is a staple in my world.
  • TIME to READ!!!
  • TIME to learn.
  • TIME the think.
  • TIME to PLAY!!
  • TIME to work. (I really, really do love my job.)
  • I love the TIME I get to spend bettering myself. I have been devouring Danielle Laporte’s Desire Map and am starting to identify my CDF’s. Check it out if you have no idea what I’m talking about. It is worth your time.
  • Vacation TIME.
  • Couch TIME.
  • TIME with my business coach. She’s pretty great. She reassures me that I know what I’m talking about! She has also helped me to identify a few products for 2015. (Stay tuned if your interested!)
  • TIME laughing with my friends. Did I mention I have some fawesome friends? (Yep, fawesome – you can figure it out.)
  • The TIME I get to spend with my mom. I love that woman.
  • Did I mention my kids? Addison and Easton. I can’t be more thankful than I am when I get to spend TIME with them.
  • Jason. Yeah, I’m thankful for the TIME (over 17 years) that I’ve had with him. Hopefully we get a lot more time together.
  • TIME to concentrate on my health.
  • TIME to write this blog.
  • TIME to eat gummy bears. I still really love those too.
  • Taking the TIME to take pictures.
  • Rest. I like to think there is TIME for that!?
  • The TIME people have taken to listen or support me. I wouldn’t be here today without you.

I’m thankful to YOU for taking the TIME to read this. Please feel free to share what you are thankful for either in the comments below or on our Facebook Page!
