What I’m Thankful for this Thanksgiving (2013)

Seeing everyone’s messages on social media about thankfulness this month is so inspiring! I wish we woke up grateful EVERYDAY instead of focusing on it just once per year.

I have so much to be grateful for this year (and every year)! My list starts here, but I’m sure I will leave out many of the blessings that I overlook everyday in my fast paced, busy, chaotic, overwhelmingly awesome life…but here it goes:

I am most thankful for (although not necessarily in this order):

  • My amazing family. They can make me laugh, cry, smile, growl, blush, feel overwhelmingly loved and full of both pride and gratefulness everyday (although not always in that order).
  • My equally amazing friends. They generally can induce the same feelings as my family can – but without their ability to listen and their advice I wouldn’t be able to brag (or complain) about my family nearly as much as I do! They also choose to accept me for who I am and love me for it anyway (my family is stuck with my imperfections)!
  • Health – my own and the health of babies and other family members/friends. I am so blessed.
  • Food on the table and a roof over my head.
  • A job that I absolutely love.
  • Good books.
  • Great advice.
  • Design (and in my case, So Good Design Co.).
  • Connections.
  • Haribo Gummy Bears.
  • Fabric.
  • Linkin (the family dog).
  • Surrounding myself with good, smart people who are willing to help out at any time! In other words, my TEAM!
  • Photography.
  • Education.
  • Clients – Amazing clients!!! (You know who you are!)
  • Magic and belief.
  • Support.
  • Disney.
  • A comfy couch and yoga pants.
  • Coffee – all kinds.
  • Kindness.
  • Online shopping.
  • Color.
  • Fun games to play with those mentioned above.
  • The fact that my husband likes to cook (because I don’t).
  • Fresh snow.
  • Warm breezes.
  • Peace.
  • Did I mention books? I love books.
  • Good conversation.
  • Vacations.
  • Belly laughs.
  • Finally, love. I love….LOVE.

Well – there it is. And it felt great – you should try it, what are you most grateful for?

Thank you for all of the love and support I have received from all of my amazing family and friends – I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today without all of you.

I wish everyone a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday! Enjoy your day – no matter how it is spent.
