Is Your Brand Consistent?

Maintaining a consistent brand – both online and off – creates trust among your customers and potential customers. If someone is looking to hire  you for a specific task you want to gain their trust before you even meet or talk to them – right? Creating social proof is one way to do this. Our brand is consistent across all of our marketing channels. Our Facebook Cover Photo is branded to match our website which also looks like our Twitter background. See?

Is your brand consistent?

If you are looking for a place to begin, here are 3 tips to get you started:

  1. Choose your colors wisely. Colors represent many things including emotions. What do you want people to FEEL when they come across your brand? We chose brown and orange because they represent reliability and excitement! What do you want your branding to say about you? Here is an article to refer to about the psychology of colors – click here to see it.
  2. Make sure to include GOOD QUALITY photos and images in your branding. Don’t make the mistake of using pixelated images or photos that are not sized correctly for the space you are uploading them to – a stretched image never is appealing.
  3. Discover your brand’s voice. Your business has a personality whether you want it to or not. What type of information are you posting to Facebook? Are you fun and quirky or are you all business? The decision is yours – make sure it fits your demographic and that you are, again, being consistent!!!

Get started with your branding right away! Don’t be afraid to change things up if you notice it isn’t working or if your target market isn’t responding the way you had hoped. Creating a consistent brand takes time – don’t get discouraged!
